At the time that I wrote this paper I was working for North Thames Gas as a contract cathodic protection technician, sub-contracted from Atkins Inspection.

I had fully developed the Alexander Cell and several unique survey procedures and had successfully stopped corrosion on many thousands of miles of pipelines in Nigeria.
