Er Shabbir Shaikh 1st of all try to understand what is corrosion then u will know it
Roger Alexander this is what corrosion is

Er Shabbir Shaikh Roger Alexander Corrosion is “the deterioration of a substance or its properties due to a reaction with its environment.” In plain words, the metal from the piping dissolves into the water as a result of various causes, causing pipe failure and corrosion of water heaters, appliances, and fixtures.
Er Shabbir Shaikh Roger Alexander this is due to leakage of current from the copar wire to elctroylyte..
Roger Alexander Er Shabbir Shaikh No.... the picture is one of thousands that I have taken during my studies of corrosion and corrosion control in one of my laboratory set ups that prove that the measurement of corrosion by the methods advocated by NACE and ICorr are not scientifically based. Please look at my websites to see thousands of photographs and drawings as well as millions of data points that support the science and technology that I have developed.
Roger Alexander This is real science

Roger Alexander This is real science

Roger Alexander This is a small part of the scientific method
Er Shabbir Shaikh Cathodic protection (CP) is a technique used to control the corrosion of a metal surface by making it the cathode of an electrochemical cell. ... For structures such as long pipelines, where passive galvanic cathodic protection is not adequate, an external DC electrical power source is used to provide sufficient current.
Roger Alexander This is a small part of the scientific method that has been misinterpreted by NACE and ICorr to mean that you can stick a copper/copper-sulphate electrode in the ground and call it a half cell. This is total rubbish.
Roger Alexander This is a copper rod in a saturated solution of copper sulphate. It cannot be calibrated because it is a known reaction but there are racketeers who charge for 'calibration'. The reaction potential of this electrode is variable due to temperature and pressure. It is only useful if you understand it's limitations and use it for procedures described in my website.

Procedures that I wrote for Shell International and have been adopted as standard globally

Yagnesh Joshi Interview For which company and country?
Er Shabbir Shaikh Yagnesh Joshi UK
Yagnesh Joshi OK, which company?
Nitin Shid Control the corrosion of metal surface by cathod
This whole conversation shows that the person concerned is interested in getting a job in cathodic protection and knows nothing about it. The others are offering advice that can be read from any NACE publication and is totally unfounded in real science. My own responses have been in links and pictures trying to inform about the science of corrosion studies and corrosion control.
